Digital Railroad Closes!

Many of you would have recieved emails from Digital Railroad over the last 48 hours with some dissapointing news.  Digital Railroad is about to close its doors, a real shame to see such a strong contender have to fold up shop.  Digital Railroad was up there with the best of the self managed Stock Imaging sites on the internet.  With little competition when it first started it created a model that was useful on todays Web 2.0 internet.  Sites like PhotoShelter followed in Digital Railroads footsteps and themselves became strong contenders in the Stock Market.  All unti... continued.

The Long Term Investment

We’ve come to a point in technology where we have to make some changes in the way we work with digital media.  How so you may ask, well that’s what we intend to look at, our long term investment, the images we take.  For many photographers the investment of an archive of images increases in value over time.  Images taken years before may again turn a value. In days past the medium used allowed for long term storage, given that it was at least looked after.  I myself have worked on negatives that have stood the test of time being more than 40 years old. ... continued.

Site Launch

Welcome to the new Image Australia Web Site.  We have finally taken those last steps and made the site available from the main link, now just a matter of getting the rest of the content up and some testing and we are ready to go.  So far we have signed on just under a dozen photographers with a few more slowly working towards presenting some of their work as well.  Our new start will see a handful of professional works mixed amongst some up and coming artists who have already earnt their eye for the art of photogaphy.
